Dear Baba,

You are wealthy, smart and influential. Powerful as well, so much that when you speak we all listen. No doubt about that.
If I were to advise you I would tell you to combine your resources together with that of your elected members and begin to deliver on areas the govt. Has failed to implement. This I say because you have better access to information and even these affected places than we all do. If you personally touch the lives of the affected then by all means your claims will be further substantiated by action.
Your argument is sound and true, everybody, regardless of the nonesense tribal approach that we all take whenever any member from any political divide makes any point, can see and even bear witness to. In this regard, change your tactics and start on a course that touches the immediatw lives of the affected so that you can put more weight on the matters that you tirelessly raise.
Kenya is hungry for a leader who is a doer and can stand for right causes of action.
We will begin to feel the effects of your leadership the moment something substantial starts hitting our screens and airwaves because we are all not gifted in reasoning strong points but we all identify with a practical Language.
Im praying and hoping to see action and not reading all through.
To the public, I know my name betrays me. But I didnt get a pound of meat for free yesterday when I went to fetch for my family, neither did my kikuyu Landlord waive the rent for me or made me pay any penny less than my neighbour Omosh and Mwendwa or even Hassan..plus when I got late to pay She almost clumped the house but by the grace of God we made through.
Therefore before you display your anger to my post, please look back at your lives and realize we suffer the same problems.
Last of all WE ARE TEARING INTO ONE ANOTHER BECAUSE WE FORGOT TO LOVE OUR COUNTRY…nobody chose where to be born, nobody chose their neighbour.
Lets teach ourselves to love this country, then we wont be struggling with a bunch ofnonesense that politicians throw on to us…TUPENDANE TAFADHALI…
,
Regards,
Kinyua

And I have to say this is the way forward my fellow Kenyans.

Never before has a word been used so out of context! If you have been living under a rock for the past year, you probably do not even know what I am talking about outside of it’s intended meaning.

But these days you cannot talk to a lass in Nairobi without them bringing up either their search for a sponsor or their sponsors. These days it seems to have become socially acceptable to have someone take care of your every need in exchange for sex. It kind of makes you wonder whether there was a discovery I know nothing about – guavas that cure cancer.

Anyway, who better to talk about sponsors than a socialite? These are people who have made a living out of popularizing sponsors indeed. From Vera Sidika to Huddah to Pendo.

And so the good folk at K24 decided to ask Pendo to decode for us the importance of a sponsor. And trust that it went side-ways as it always does when she’s involved.
To make matters worse, she was asked to debate – verbally spur – with Bishop Margaret Wanjiru about sponsors and it was hilarious!

University of Nairobi students were on Monday reportedly paraded on the streets of the Campus by officers of the General Service Unit (GSU) and spanked repeatedly, following the demonstrations that caused chaos in the Capital.

In a video capturing the scene, a multitude of the learners were forced to lie down on along an alley in a straight line, as the GSU officers went back and forth hitting them with rods.

The helpless students could only wail as the officers, whom they had engaged in running battles since Saturday, heavily descended upon them.

Unconfirmed reports revealed that some of those who were beaten up by the officers were forcefully flagged from classes and hostels as they were studying for the upcoming examinations.

The student were protesting against the re-election of Paul Ongili, commonly known as Babu Owino, as the chairman of Students Organisation of Nairobi University (SONU).

The angry scholars indicated that Babu rigged the elections with a section captured on tape stating that they were tired of being led by him.

On Monday, the enraged students also razed down SONU offices located along University Way.

Following the announcement of Babu’s victory, the rioting learners blocked the University Way, Uhuru Highway, State House and Harry Thuku roads, causing a huge traffic snarl up in the Capital.

The SONU Chairman has since called for peace at the Campus urging his opponents to accept the results and move on. He insists that he fairly won the contentious polls which according to him he garnered over 18,000 votes against his rivals Suraj Mohamed and Mike Jacobs who got about 3000 and 2000 votes respectively.

However, Babu dismissed the video stating that the clip was taken during the 2007/2008 post-election violence, adding that ‘no comrade was bitten’.
